Intro
In May 2018, just before a trip to the Kentucky Derby, I joined a Thoroughbred syndicate at Hastings Park - Club One. It made for some fun conversations. Through the club, I am a fractional owner in three Thoroughbred horses in Vancouver. (I have said to a few friends I own the toe of a race horse). The club structure is interesting in that the club technically leases the horses; which does a good job of limiting liability.
